Cervantes Esplanade
LOCATION
Typical for its palm trees, it is located in front of the maritime façade of the city. It owes its name to the famous Spanish author, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, who disembarked in Dénia after his captivity in Algeria in 1580. The bust of Cervantes was erected in homage to him at the end of the promenade.
WEATHER MONUMENT
In front of the Esplanade end, semi-concealed by plants, we find the Weather Monument, represented by a woman who pays tribute to Dénia's beneficial mild climate, which has an average temperature of around 20ºC.
